"Hindi Cinema, Please provide us something new; we're just sick of these masala entertainers."
Direction and Other Technical Aspects : Anthony D'Souza fails again to leave an impact on the viewers. Story is entirely a 'copy' of Pokkiri Raja (2010 Malayalam Film); Screenplay doesn't promises anything new, expect those few senseless comic sequences. The film often turns draggy at certain points; Being it a Comic-action movie, comedy is not upto the mark and erratic, but action is fair to some extent. Some dialogues are good, and deserve a positive remark. And yes, "Apne Ko Kya Hai, Apne Ko Toh Bas Paani Nikaalna Hai!" eventually sucks, being used a lot of times in the film. Music is OK.
Performances : Akshay Kumar is quite loud, and tries to make the audience laugh with his so called 'magical comic-timing' but fails miserably due lack of innovation in the quality of comedy scenes. But, excels at the emotional sequences.
Shiv Pandit disappoints, in-confident! lacks right emotions, (Didn't expect this from him after watching his splendid performance in 'Shaitan')
Aditi Rao Hydari looks fresh, and comfortably handles her role.
Ronit Roy as antagonist, is Spellbound! (He compelled me to watch the whole movie)
Danny Denzongpa is confident, Mithun Chakraborthy does full justice to his role, like all others.
Final Verdict : Average, is expected to get a good response from Single-screen audience, but such films in the future, have ultimately no future!
Whenever I watch Mr. Kumar's cheap masala entertainers, I wonder why he signed it at first place, I mean 20 years in the industry and you cannot make the right choices. Shame!
